I Veto The Vote (Confessions of a Social Cynic)

The first major election that I was old enough to be legal to cast my vote was 1980.

As I felt myself too uninformed to vote; I opted not to vote at all.

Best decision I ever made.

In 1984 I thought I had it figured out.

I voted for Reagan.

Worst decision I ever made.

Now I simply do not vote.

Of course, when people learn that I no longer vote, they tell me that if I don’t vote, I can’t complain.

The Right to Freedom of Speech, and my access to Facebook proves ‘em wrong.
