If the U.S is a Christian Nation, Was Iraq a Crusade?

If you overlook myriads of facts, data, and historical accounts, it’s easy to say that the U.S is a Christian nation and was founded for expressly religious purposes. If you cover up details like the fact that the first permanent English settlement in North America (Jamestown) was founded by the London Company, a company of merchants trying to get rich in the hopes of finding gold in Virginia, the image of a Christian America is appealing to many. But, for the sake of this argument, I’m going to grant conservatives this point. Since they want the U.S to be a Christian nation so rabidly, let’s assume it is.
